About Negative Scanning
We offer a wide range of Slide film scanning from the common 35mm through to 127 super. Due to the small size of film in comparison to a photo, higher resolutions are required to provide the same results.
We use Epson V700 and V800 scanners to achieve the great results that our customers are expecting with the service including a gentle air brush to remove loose dust, before scanning.
The service also includes Silverfast iSRD dust and scratch removal, correct orientation, auto colour and sharpness optimisation. Pricing starts at $1.40 per frame.

Silverfast iSRD
Digital ICE can also be used at the time of scanning colour slides to help reduce scratches, dust and mould. This service is free for all 1200 dpi and 2400 dpi scans.

What Scanning Resolution Is Right For Me?
2400DPI
Standard Resolution
2400 dpi is perfect for slideshows, TV, mobile devices, social media and small prints.
3600DPI
High Resolution
3600 dpi is great for photo books, limited editing (zoom and crop) and will print to nearly A4 size from a 6×4 scan.
4800DPI
Ultra High Resolution
4800 dpi will provide advanced editing and print to print to nearly A3 size from a 6X4 scan.
Conditions for Negative Scanning

Negatives will only be scanned in whole strips. Single frames will be scanned at a cost of $3.00 each

Negatives will be air brushed prior to scanning

Negatives scanned using ISRD at 3200 dpi or higher will have a surcharge of 25c

126 and 110 negatives will have a 20% surcharge to cover additional manual work performed in cropping

If you send us your negatives as a roll we will need to cut them into strips with 4 to 6 negatives each so as to fit our equipment.
